Hi All just got a male ESS whos now 9 weeks old(had him a week) i started feeding him James wellbeloved but he didnt like it much...atb this time he also had runny poo..

Took him to vets for 1st jab and told her about poo\not eating much she asked if he had been wormed...breeder said he had but i asked her to worm him again ....she put him on Hills prescription tine food and ....my god he lapped up cant stop wilson eating now hes like a eating machine....

within 2 stools hes now doing solid poos but the poor mite had ringworms(like spaghetti)

The worms are now coming still since friday, how long does it take for them all 2 go ?

Shall i peservere with the james wellbeloved and put it down to his worms why he wasnt eating ?

Our girl was on skinners feild and trial, we were told to feed her once a day, shes only 7 months! She had the runs and our vet wormed her to be on the safe side, we changed her food to Oscars, feedingher twice a day and she hasnt looked back we have had her three weeks and shes put weight on and looks brill! Her coat and eyes are lovely, its really done her good, the vet suggested worming her again in a couple of weeks if we had seen any in her poo, so I would go with that, if u saw some take her back in a few weeks and have him wormed again, or just get the tablet from the vet and give it him yourself. good luck and well done for buying a springer you will never look back!

If anything worms will make them eat more. Its also sounds like he has a bad worm burden. I agree with worming him again in 2 weeks, and then worm monthly til he is 6 mths old.

If his poo is solid now I would stick with the Hills, you may upset his belly by changing the food around.

My adult girlie is on Royal canin as this seems to be the only brand that agrees with her belly.
