How much physical exercise does your springer get?How much physical exercise does your springer get? Including lead walking and off lead walking.
Dan Pringle gets 3hrs +, I take him out twice a day, usually about 2 hrs in the morning and about 1 and a half at night, plus he's usually running around the garden all day, which by the way he's ruined it, just cost me a pretty packet to Pringle proof it
Don't know which to go for - Summer 3 hrs + :D , but winter 2-3 hrs :(
In the winter, Benji & I drive half way, park car & walk to work, then back at lunchtime to get the car, 'cause it's dark when I finish work. But in the summer, we cycle from home, ( I cycle, Benji runs  ) a slightly longer route, to avoid roads, then home again in the evening. Also, Benji's free all day to pester anyone he can find for ball throws
He really hates it when it rains  Just lies in the porch to my office, watching the world go by :(
PS. :D :D He's very happy today. I'm watching him from my window. He's found two engineers, working at the rear of the barn next door. For 1 1/2 hours now he's been taking the ball back to them  and they just keep throwing it :D :D
Interesting to see that some springers here get so much exercise.
My three get little more then an hour a day, free running, they do how ever get about 2 hours on to of that training, and just before the season starts exercise is built up to help their stamina.
I'm think exercising a springers mind is as important if not important then exercising their bodies.
I agree with you about exercising springers minds. I would love to have the time to do proper obedience training, but we just do things whilst walking, and benji has those puzzle toys, like a bird house with holes in, with little squeaky birds inside. He can get them out no problem, but i'm struggling with teaching him how to put them back in :D :D
