Hi everybody.
Need some advice about how much I should be walking Ben who is 8 months. Been told to have him out as much as I can, I should only walk him for 1 hour a day as he is still growing, etc etc. Just now he is getting walked 1 hour a day so is he getting ample?
We do have a large garden where he is out for most of the day and he also plays games with me and has lots of toys that I hide etc.

Hi Ann and Ben and welcome to the site. Angus is 2 now, and he gets at least 2 walks a day. They last for about 1 to 1 and half hours each. He also gets to roam in the garden too. Sometimes, if he's lucky he gets 3! When he was very small we were told by the vet to walk him just a bit, but I think by 8 months he should have the normal exercise. I think the key is stimulating him, hiding the toys seems a good idea!

Hi Ann, Springers getting ample walks Bens old enough now to keep going all day and probably would to :lol: , but when he's had enough he'll let you know by slowing down or lying down for a rest. Like Malcolm says make his walk a game try hiding from him and then call him to try and find you it will stimulate his brain and tire him out quicker :roll:

Thanks you guys for the great advice, going to walk him abit more. Had a game of hide and seek tonight all over the house with him and he loved it.
