Toys, Toys, Toys
So I have a dilemma, Ellie has decided that her toys are no longer good enough and that puppy toys are much more fun. We have thought that they need to learn to share toys but Ellie with her grownup teeth is killing Jasper's toys but we don't want to create rivalry for toys between them.

Any suggestions?

hi nellieJ I think personnally Ellie might be getting a little jealous of the attention Jaspers getting so she thinks by playing with Jaspers toys she'll get the same attention. I'm only guessing, personnally I would let them share the same toys and play the same games that way they will both feel the same hope this is of some help :?

Thanks for the advice Tommy, I think you may be right.

It's difficult playing the same games with Ellie because she doesn't really know how to play. She gets very excited and then starts snapping her teeth, sometimes a little too close for comfort! She doesn't play fetch or tug games like Jasper likes to, which in all honesty is one reason we wanted a more interactive dog  Ellie just loves her walks and sleeping.

My first springer used to steal all the cats toys, this one steals my little dogs toys. I think springers are just greedy and selfish!
Seriously thou, don't play with her if shes snapping, once she gets like that stop play and yelp/ ouchy sound at her. It re-enforces the way mum and litter mates tell her enough is enough. When my two are fighting (playfully) over a toy, I take it away and don't let either have it, they look at me as if I'm odd, but then go off and get seperate toys each (but then 5 mins later the springer is then usually trying to steal that!)
