Training Books
Can anyone recommend a good training book for springers??

Any I've seen in general bookstores have been quite basic teaching sit, stay, down etc. Dare I say it :) but Borris who is nearly 9 months old has mastered the basics (apart from the lead for some reason but trying the advice on the previous thread, fingers crossed) and I feel he is itching to learn something more complicated. He will often sit beside you and look up when he is off lead on walks as if to say what do you want me to do now.

He has been to puppy obedience classes but I don't know of any more advanced classes in my area unfortunately. I would like to try him with agility as he is quite bouncy and light but he is too young for this I hear.

Im just looking for some intermediate bits and pieces i suppose to keep him progressing and prevent him from becoming bored. Any ideas??

not sure about springers, but do know you can not over exert larger dog breeds too soon. This is to do with joints growing and lead to major problems in later life. (My first springy was 7 mths and second 10 mths, which is why I don't know about them!!)
